What to Pack for Hawaii
On my first trip to Hawaii, I packed far too many clothes and ended up wearing only a handful of them! Hawaii’s relaxed tropical climate makes it easy to pack light, which also leaves more room for souvenirs and shopping.
Bring comfortable, lightweight clothing such as T-shirts, shorts, casual dresses and swimwear, along with sandals or slippers and a pair of comfortable walking shoes. A hat, sunglasses and a light jacket are also useful for sunny days, air-conditioned restaurants, cooler evenings and higher elevations.
If you forget something, don’t worry—stores such as Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls and TJ Maxx are great for affordable clothing and travel essentials. Serious shoppers may even want to leave some spare room in their suitcase for the journey home!
