Shopping on Oahu

One of the most popular things to do in Hawaii is shopping.

Hawaii is a shopper's paradise with a mix of discount stores like TJ Maxx & Ross Dress for Less, Waikele Premium Outlets, cool local boutiques, major department stores, along with flea markets, there are plenty of great deals to be found.

Peak sale periods throughout the year include Thanksgiving (Black Friday) and Memorial Day – when you can find lots of great bargains.

Shop till you drop at Ala Moana Shopping Center.  This is my old working place where I spent 2.5 years working in the Center. It’s the perfect place to spend a day shopping and dining at one of the many great restaurants in the Center. There are more than 350 shops and restaurants to explore. All your designer shops are here like Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton along with department stores Nordstrom, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, and Bloomingdale's. For the budget conscious you will find Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls, Target and Off Saks 5th Avenue.

Mall hours are Monday-Saturday 9:30am-9pm and Sunday from 10am-7pm

Nordstrom is an American luxury department store chain.

They are a full-line retailer with departments including cosmetics and fragrances, footwear, handbags, clothing, jewelry and accessories.

Inside Nordstrom you will find the following eateries / food outlets:

Habitat - is a casual lounge where you can sit down and enjoy a light snack, glass of wine or even a handcrafted Cocktail.

Ruscello - is a full-service restaurant and is located on the 3rd Floor of the store. 

Ebar - Will satisfy your coffee addiction as they offer handcrafted coffee beverages, homemade smoothies and a variety of grab-and-go sandwiches & other food items.

Gelato Bar – offer delicious gelato and sorbet which is made locally, using all-natural ingredients.

T. J. Maxx is a retail chain that features stylish brand-name clothing, shoes and apparel at 20% - 60% less than department stores prices. You will also find good quality skincare / beauty, kitchenware and homewares, along with bedding and toys at affordable prices.

There are four locations on Oahu:

Ward Village, Kapolei, Pearl City & Pearlridge. Free self-parking is available in the Ward Village Shops parking garage.

Nordstrom Rack is the “off-price” retail division of  Nordstrom.

Nordstrom Rack has 2 locations on Oahu. One is in the heart of Waikiki at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach and the other at Ward Village.

The best parking for the Waikiki location is at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki where you can get 2 hours of free validated parking. Park on the red floor and catch the elevator to the 2nd floor and you will enter the store.

Waikele Premium Outlets are conveniently located just 30 minutes from Honolulu.

To get there by car, take H-1 Freeway (West), turn off at Exit 7 and head north one block to our outdoor mall.

Shop more than 50 designer and brand name outlet stores including Marc Jacobs, Coach, Kate Spade New York, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Michael Kors and more. There are lots of  dining options at the open-air food pavilion.

Located in Kaimuki, Sugarcane Hawaii is a cute and cozy shop! Here you will find locally made home items and jewelry, books, candles, clothing. and lots more. Perfect place to shop for gifts Sugarcane is located at 1137 11th Avenue, Honolulu

 They are open from 10-4 daily.

SoHa Living

SoHa is short for South of Hawaii. SoHa Living stock a range of unique products which many are made in Hawaii. Royal Hawaiian Center

The Royal Hawaiian Center, is located in the heart of Waikiki and covers more than 310,000 square feet along three-blocks on Kalākaua Avenue.

Complimentary music, hula, and cultural classes are available in The Royal Grove.

The center is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Parking is available at the center with a minimum $10 purchase, you get the first 2 hours of parking FREE.

International Market Place

The International Market Place opened on August 25, 2016 featuring lush landscaping, water features and the iconic banyan tree that is more than a century old.

 

Located in the heart of Waikiki with over 80 curated store and an abundance of dining options on offer. The Grand Lanai at International Market Place offers outdoor seating and a collection of signature restaurants including StripSteak Waikiki and Herringbone.

 

International Market Place is OPEN daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Individual store and restaurant hours may vary.

Kahala Mall

Kahala Mall is a local indoor shopping mall in the Kāhala neighborhood of Honolulu and it only a 15-minute drive from Waikiki.

Kahala Mall features over 100 local shops, restaurants and retailers including Sephora, Macys, Longs Drugs Whole Foods Market. 

Mall hours are Monday-Saturday from 10am-9pm and Sunday 10am-5pm.
