Oʻahu Farmers Markets: Your Weekly Guide to Shopping Local
One of our favourite ways to experience Oʻahu is by visiting a local farmers market. From tropical fruit and fresh island produce to delicious food, locally made gifts, flowers and handmade treasures, there’s always something interesting to discover.
Markets are held across Oʻahu throughout the week, so whether you’re staying in Waikīkī, exploring Kailua or heading out for a day around the island, there’s usually a market you can add to your plans.
Some of the best-known markets include KCC Farmers Market near Diamond Head, Kakaʻako Farmers Market, Kailua Farmers Market and the Honolulu Farmers Market. Each has its own atmosphere and mix of vendors, making them a great way to support local farmers, makers and small businesses while enjoying a taste of island life.
Below, we’ve put together a weekly guide to help you find an Oʻahu market during your stay.
Monday
Waikīkī Beach Walk Open Market — 4 pm to 8 pm
If you’re staying in Waikiki, this is an easy market to add to your Monday afternoon or evening. Located at Waikiki Beach Walk, the open-air market is a fun place to browse local vendors and discover handmade gifts, jewelry, art, clothing and other locally made products. It’s also in a great location, so you can combine your visit with shopping, dinner or an evening stroll through Waikiki.
Tuesday
Waikiki Farmers Market at Hyatt Regency – 4 pm to 8 pm
If you’re in Waikiki on a Tuesday, stop by the Waikīkī Farmers Market at the Hyatt Regency. You’ll find a mix of fresh local produce, tropical fruits, baked goods, snacks and locally made products. It’s an easy market to visit while exploring Waikiki and a great place to pick up a tasty treat or something made in Hawaiʻi.
Fort Street Mall Open Market – 7 am to 1:30 pm
A great option if you’re exploring Downtown Honolulu, this weekday market is popular with locals looking for fresh produce, tasty food and quick lunch options. It’s a nice opportunity to experience a market away from the main tourist areas of Waikīkī.
Wednesday
Sunset Rooftop Market at Royal Hawaiian Center – 4 pm to 8 pm
Head to Ka Lewa Lānai at Royal Hawaiian Center for the Sunset Rooftop Market, held every Wednesday evening. Browse local vendors, discover island flavors and enjoy live entertainment as the sun goes down over Waikīkī. There are also giveaways, making this a fun midweek stop while you’re staying in Waikīkī.
Honolulu Farmers’ Market at Neal S. Blaisdell Center – 4 pm to 7 pm
Held at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center, this popular Wednesday market is a great place to discover fresh Hawaiʻi-grown produce, tropical fruits, flowers and locally made foods. Come hungry, as you’ll also find plenty of tasty prepared dishes and treats to enjoy while you browse.
Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace — 8 am to 3 pm
If you’re looking for souvenirs, clothing, gifts and bargain finds, the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace is also open on Wednesdays. With hundreds of vendors, it’s a great midweek alternative if you can’t make the weekend markets. The Swap Meet is currently located in the Upper Hālawa Lot while work on the new Aloha Stadium development continues.
Thursday
International Market Place Farmers Market – 4 pm to 8 pm
Right in the heart of Waikīkī, this Thursday evening market is an easy stop while exploring International Market Place. Browse locally made products, pick up fresh island treats and enjoy the lively atmosphere before heading out for dinner or an evening stroll along Kalākaua Avenue.
Kailua Farmers’ Market – 4 pm to 7 pm
If you’re spending Thursday on Oʻahu’s Windward side, the Kailua Farmers’ Market is well worth a stop. Browse fresh local produce, tropical fruits and locally made products, with plenty of delicious prepared food to enjoy. It’s a great way to finish a day exploring Kailua and the surrounding area.
Friday
Fort Street Mall Open Market – 7 am to 1:30 pm
If you missed this Downtown Honolulu market on Tuesday, you have another chance to visit on Friday. It’s a handy stop for fresh produce, local food and a quick bite while exploring the downtown area. The weekday setting also gives you a glimpse of everyday Honolulu away from Waikīkī.
Saturday
KCC Farmers Market — 7:30 am to 11 am
One of Oʻahu’s best-known farmers markets, KCC is a Saturday morning favorite for fresh local produce, tropical fruits, flowers and delicious Hawaiʻi-made food. Come hungry and sample everything from fresh juices and baked treats to local specialties while browsing the stalls at the foot of Diamond Head.
Kakaʻako Farmers Market — 8 am to 12 pm
This is one of our favorite Saturday markets on Oʻahu. Set in Kakaʻako, it has a fantastic mix of local produce, freshly prepared food, baked treats, drinks and locally made products. We love the relaxed atmosphere and the variety of stalls, and it’s a great market to combine with a morning exploring Kakaʻako and nearby Ward Village.
Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace — 6:30 am to 3 pm
For something a little different, head to the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace. With hundreds of vendors, it’s a great place to shop for Hawaiian souvenirs, clothing, gifts, local products and bargain finds. It’s much larger than a traditional farmers market, so allow plenty of time to wander around and explore.
The Swap Meet is currently located in the Upper Hālawa Lot while work on the new Aloha Stadium development continues.
Sunday
Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace — 6:30 am to 3 pm
If Saturday doesn’t fit your plans, the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace is also open on Sunday. It’s another chance to browse hundreds of stalls for souvenirs, gifts, clothing and local finds. See our Saturday listing above for more details.

KailuaTown Farmers’ Market — 8 am to 12 pm
Spend your Sunday morning in Kailua browsing fresh local produce, tropical fruits, prepared foods and Hawaiʻi-made products. It’s a relaxed way to start the day and a great stop to combine with breakfast, shopping in Kailua or a visit to the beach.
